The United Arab Emirates and Pakistan have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening their bilateral ties, especially in the areas of people-to-people contacts, business, infrastructure development, and culture.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed, met with President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidency in Islamabad to address this.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and Senior Government officials.
In order to strengthen the historic relationship, the president emphasized the need of passing on the long-standing people-to-people and cultural ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates to future generations. These ties have lasted for more than three generations.
He was impressed by the UAE’s outstanding progress under its inspiring leadership. He conveyed Pakistan’s gratitude for the UAE’s consistent assistance and collaboration in a number of areas.
The President welcomed UAE investors to investigate new prospects in Pakistan’s developing sectors and underlined the significance of developing closer economic and commercial relationships.
