The United States promises to maintain developing ties with Pakistan.

Briefing reporters in Washington, US State Department chief deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel stated, “Pakistan remains one of our most important partners in the region.”

In response to a query, he stated that the US continues to have extensive collaboration with the Pakistani government, particularly in the security and commercial sectors.

In response to another question, he stated that we have been very explicit with countries throughout the world about the critical role that a free press plays in the fabric of democracy. That is why we come here on a regular basis and answer inquiries.

Patel declined to comment on the attack on a Sikh leader, citing the fact that the US Law and Justice Department is investigating the case and that he is unable to speak.

Previously, the US pledged to assist Pakistan with economic reforms.

According to State Department spokeswoman Matthew Miller, Pakistan’s economy has stabilized, and we support its efforts to handle its massive debt burden.
