He said that the port city’s continuous oppressive heat was caused by a shift in the wind direction.

Sarfaraz said that after two days, the temperature will probably decline.

According to a Met official, the first week of July is when the monsoon season is predicted to start.

He continued, “This monsoon season, we expect above-average rainfall in Karachi and other Sindhi districts.”

A stretch of pre-monsoon light rain and strong gusts recently fell on the city’s various sections.

In addition, roads in Salehpat, Pannu Aqil, Kandhra, and Rohri were submerged in a wave of rain, causing damage to mud houses.

More rain is expected this season, according to a monsoon rain notice issued on Sunday by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority of Punjab (PDMA).

According to the PDMA, the province will enter the monsoon on July 1st, with a warning of 35 percent greater rainfall this season.

In Punjab’s upper, central, and southern regions, strong rains were predicted.

The PDMA further stated that the July rainy spell might result in flooding in southern Punjab’s hill torrents as well as in cities.
