According to a police spokesperson on Wednesday, three officers were fired for harassing a family in the nation’s capital.

A family in a car was stopped and harassed by Dolphin Force members when they were snap-checking in area F-11.

Police in Islamabad received a complaint from the victims. After learning of the event, Syed Ali Raza, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Operations for Islamabad, ordered an investigation and suspended the officers.

Aqib, Ali Haider, and Talha, the three police officers, were all found guilty of misbehavior during the investigation.

“All three of the officers involved were fired from their positions due to the findings,” an Islamabad police spokesperson stated.

DIG in Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, made it plain that abuse of power is not tolerated.

“A sizable stockpile of heavy weaponry was previously captured by the authorities as they were being moved from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad.

At a press conference held at Tarnol Police Station, SSP Operations and Investigation Arslan Shahzeb reportedly provided the information. An effort to transport a large number of weapons was caught and stopped by the Islamabad police, he said. A single suspect in the transfer has been taken into custody.

Twenty sophisticated automatic rifles with magazines, more than 23,000 rounds of ammunition, and 272 pistols in a variety of calibers are among the weapons confiscated, according to SSP Operations. The suspect was also found in possession of 4.45 kilograms of heroin and 150 grams of ice (methamphetamine).

The suspect has a criminal history and has been linked to eight instances in several Punjabi regions, according to the police inquiry. Additional investigations are being conducted after a case was filed at the Tarnol Police Station.

“Islamabad police are always ready to combat criminal elements,” SSP Arslan Shahzeb said, restating his resolve. He reaffirmed that the police force’s first goal continues to be protecting residents’ safety and security.
