To combat terrorism, specific actions are required: Mohsin Naqvi

In order to combat the evil of terrorism, the international community needs to take proactive measures and develop a coordinated plan, according to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

He was addressing Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya during their meeting.

Mohsn Naqvi condemned the October 23 terrorist assault in Ankara and stated that the fight against terrorism was a worldwide issue, adding that terrorists were not limited by geography or religion.
Topics of mutual interest and the advancement of relations between Pakistan and Turkey were discussed by both leaders. The homecoming of three Pakistani captives in Turkiye was another topic of concern.
“Pakistan can send a delegation of experts to Turkiye in this regard and the matter will be reviewed on compassionate grounds,” the Turkish Minister stated, assuring the return of Pakistani inmates from Turkiye.
Mohsin Naqvi invited his Turkish counterpart to come to Pakistan as well.
The Turkish minister promised to visit Islamabad soon and described Pakistan as a brotherly nation.

According to Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan and Turkiye have a long history of fraternal ties and are also connected by religion.
Additionally, Mohsin Naqvi expressed gratitude to the Turkish Interior Minister for the hospitality shown to him and the superb arrangements made at the Saha International Expo.
