The lecturer for the event, Dr. Zakir Naik, will discuss the Quran, Hadith, and divine commands.

In honor of well-known religious scholar Dr. Zakir Naik, a special ceremony is scheduled to take place at Governor House Sindh today at 7 PM. Religious leaders, academics, and heads of religious organizations will be present at the function being hosted by Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori.

With a digital stage being set up on the grounds of the Governor House, preparations for the program are well underway.

At Polo Ground, which is next to the Governor House, big screens will be installed for the general public to view in the interim. Late at night, Governor Tessori made a late-night visit to the Polo Ground to examine the arrangements and give crucial security instructions.

Dr. Zakir Naik visited Prime Minister Shehabz Sharif in Islamabad earlier on Wednesday.

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif praised Dr. Naik for portraying Islam in its authentic light and noted how insightful and powerful his lectures are.

Premier Shehbaz welcomed him and remarked that the world is proud of him for presenting Islam as it truly is.

Punjab will cultivate 42.5 million plants over an area of 48,368 acres.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has implemented emergency steps to address haze and air pollution, including a comprehensive afforestation campaign as part of the Chief Minister’s Plant for Pakistan Initiative. The initiative intends to cultivate 42.5 million trees on 48,368 acres in the province.

Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb announced that 7.361 million trees will be planted on 8,496 acres in the 2024-25 fiscal year, with a budget of Rs. 1,800 million allocated for this initiative. To date, Rs. 1,085 million has been expended, accounting for 60% of the projected expenditure.

During the Spring Plantation Drive, 5.966 million trees would be planted over 6,637 acres in several districts, including Lahore, Kasur, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Murree, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, and Muzaffargarh. Over 300 sites have been designated for afforestation.

The project encompasses the cultivation of Moringa, Chir, Neem, Kikar, Sheesham, Sars, Bakain, Semal, Arjun, and several fruit-bearing trees. The Chief Minister’s Plant for Pakistan Initiative is projected to incur a total expenditure of Rs. 8,000 million.

This effort will convert woods, riverbanks, canals, roadsides, the Potohar Plateau, Murree, and arid areas into green zones. According to the senior provincial minister, 2.73 million trees have been planted across 4,000 acres to date.

Maryam Nawaz, the chief minister of Punjab, has instructed the chief secretary to personally oversee the province’s campaign against price increases and hoarding.
In order to minimise hoarding, she chaired a conference in Lahore and requested that the Government Rate List be publicly displayed in every shop and that the supply and demand of essential commodities be closely monitored.
According to Maryam Nawaz, throughout Holy Ramadan, the supply and prices of fruits and vegetables will also be closely monitored, and price increases would face severe legal action.

Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir visited Mandi Bahauddin to address concerns over a reported Polio Case involving 8-Year-Old Mah Noor from Malikwal.

The Minister attested to Mahnoor’s good health and regular gait. All children, including Mah Noor, have received vaccinations, the minister underlined.

A health committee has been established to look into the issue further, the minister told the public.
