An important event that will begin today in Lahore is the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Asia and Southeast Asia Regional Conference, which will be hosted by Punjab Assembly.
It will be a landmark event for Pakistan’s parliamentary diplomacy, with more than 100 parliamentary delegates from 20 nations attending, including 13 Speakers, four Deputy Speakers, and one Chairman.
“Collaborative governance for shared regional challenges” is the primary topic of the conference, and “Parliamentary strategies for inclusive growth and sustainable future in Asia and South-East Asia” is its main theme.
The United Kingdom, Zambia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and a number of other countries will send representatives to the meeting.
Discussions on parliamentary democracy, open legislation, and other topics will take place at the historic Punjab Assembly.
