Tomorrow, PIA is scheduled to start operating direct flights to Paris.

This was a major step in improving links between people, business, and tourism.

Direct flights between Islamabad and Paris will start operating twice a week on January 10, 2025, according to a PIA spokeswoman.

With almost 300 passengers, the first PIA flight, PK749, is scheduled to depart Islamabad airport at 12:00 pm.

At the Islamabad airport, PIA interim CEO Khurram Mushtaq, Secretary of Aviation, and Minister of Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif would be there to bid the passengers farewell in a modest ceremony.

“The Boeing 777 of PIA will depart for Paris fully loaded as the Paris flight operations are received with a warm welcome from the passengers,, and the next four flights are also fully booked in advance,” a PIA spokesperson stated.

“The airport in Paris will also welcome the passengers of the first fight,” he continued.

In order to increase its operations, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has chosen to start new domestic and international routes.

These services, which will make use of Boeing 777 and Airbus 320 planes, are reportedly scheduled to start in January.

Beginning on January 20, PIA will fly twice a week between Bahrain and Sialkot. The start of a weekly flight from Lahore to Kuwait is also scheduled on January 25.

PIA will also launch a weekly service between Faisalabad and Jeddah on January 20 and two weekly flights between Lahore and Dammam on January 22.

Beginning on January 25, the airline will operate a weekly trip between Peshawar and Karachi. PIA will also begin weekly flights between Sialkot and Doha on January 21.

Pakistan and Turkiye have discussed the challenges presented by terrorist organisations in the region and beyond, as well as the state of terrorism both globally and regionally.

Islamabad hosted the second round of the Pakistan-Turkey Counter Terrorism Consultations.

The meeting made clear that the international community must resolve protracted conflicts in order to address the underlying roots of terrorism.
