In order to ensure the safety of trapped visitors and families in the face of severe weather, the Pakistan Army moved quickly to mobilise.

A coordinated operation was launched by the Pakistan Army to rescue hundreds of cars and people stranded by the deep snowfall.

Working together with civil administration, the army used the required equipment to open blocked crossings so that visitors and residents could travel more easily.

In addition, the Pakistan Army provided vital supplies of relief to those who were suffering from the bitter cold, providing assistance and backing to communities facing the negative consequences of the bad weather.

Several visitors and families were safely relocated to designated shelters thanks to their coordinated efforts, giving them a break from the severe weather.

Law Minister Hosts Press Conference Regarding the Irreversible Process for Independents to Switch Parties Under Amended Law: Tarar

Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar stressed that, as a result of the modified Election Act, independent candidates must formally join any political party within three days of winning polls. This procedure is now irreversible.

The Law Minister announced two changes to the Election Act during a press conference in Islamabad. He also mentioned that Sections 104-A and 66 of the Election Act have not been taken into consideration in the comprehensive ruling.

He stated that despite the Supreme Court’s comprehensive ruling, a number of problems remain unresolved.

The law minister stated that the independent candidates resolved their legal issues by joining the Sunni Ittehad Council and that PTI was not a party in the Election Commission, Pehsawar High Court, or the Supreme Court.
