In his inaugural speech to Congress, U.S. President Donald Trump hailed Pakistan for its assistance with the United States in counter-terrorism efforts, especially for helping to extradite a prime suspect engaged in a significant attack on U.S. forces in Afghanistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said meanwhile that Pakistan has always been very important in counter-terrorism initiatives, trying to deny safe havens to militant groups capable of attacking any nation.
