WhatsApp launches a fascinating feature for video calls.

According to WABetaInfo, users will be able to customise their interactions with new visual tools in the most recent WhatsApp Android 2.24.20.20 upgrade.

A new filter button has been added to the camera interface, allowing users to incorporate various visual effects into the camera.

With just a swipe, users will be able to enhance photographs and videos by applying filters to the button. Note that these effects were previously permitted on WhatsApp video calls.

Users will be able to rapidly browse and check out filters with the newest functionality, enabling them to make adjustments in real time before taking pictures or recording videos.

With WhatsApp’s skin-smoothing features, users will also be able to reduce imperfections or uneven skin tones.

Furthermore, the messaging platform has incorporated the background-changing functionality that was before accessible for video calls.

WhatsApp users will be able to blur their background completely or replace it with virtual scenes by using this feature.

A few days prior, the Meta-owned app unveiled a new feature in its Mac beta version that let users view and follow channels straight from the desktop application.

The upgrade integrates both status updates and channels, renaming the Status tab as “Updates” and making it available on TestFlight.

Due to incomplete support, Mac users were previously only able to view certain channel changes through alerts.

The addition is a part of WhatsApp’s planned migration from the Mac Electron app to the Mac Catalyst app, which should be finished by the end of the month.

WhatsApp’s channel function enables users follow public channels—like news organisations, influencers, and companies—to get the most recent information on their material.

A larger user base will receive access to the functionality in the next several days, as it is now available to a limited number of beta testers.
