World Glaciers Day: Finance Minister: Coordinated Action Is Required To Address Climate Change

Climate change has become a major concern for Pakistan, according to Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, and if left unchecked, it will eventually have a negative impact on the country’s economy.

Speaking at the NDMA headquarters in Islamabad on World Glacier Day, the Finance Minister said that climate change has also impacted the nation’s water cycle and that long-term solutions are required to address water-related problems.

He promised that the Ministry of Finance will fully support the Ministry of Climate Change and that both money and capacity building would be enhanced.
