The nomination papers of twelve candidates, including those of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for the National Assembly constituency NA-119 by-election have been approved by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Details indicate that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz left the position vacant. On April 21, a by-election for National Assembly constituency NA-119 is planned.
The nomination papers of PTI leader Shahzad Farooq, Ali Pervez Malik of the PML-N, and Nadeem Sherwani for the NA-119 by-election have been accepted by the Pakistani Election Commission.
Accepted nomination papers include those of Ali Sarwar Gillani, Zarak Tanveer, Ahmed Mughal, Akmal Khan, Abdul Karim Khan, Asghar Ali, Muhammad Zaheer, Muhammad Nawaz, and Mian Rohail Ashraf.
