The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Director General reports that South Punjab saw the highest number of fatalities as a result of lightning and torrential rainfall.
Thunderbolts were the primary cause of the six districts in Punjab that recorded six fatalities on April 13, including nine in Rahim Yar Khan.
Residents are instructed to take safety precautions when it’s raining by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority.
Previous to this, intense rains completely inundated roads, streets, and homes in Pasni, Gwadar, Balochistan, causing chaos and stopping all daily activities.
People were forced from their shelters when rainwater seeped into homes and businesses. Videos revealed the entire village by the sea completely submerged, with precipitation sluicing down the streets.
89.1 millimetres of rain were reported in Pasni over the course of four hours of nonstop rain, according to the Met Office.
In addition, there was a lot of rain in the districts of Dera Ismail Khan, Malakand, Mohmand, and Kohat in KP, as well as in southern Punjab, including Multan.
Following a period of intense rain, Quetta’s low-lying districts flooded. Mastung, Kalat, Nushki, Pishin, Kharan, Qila Abdullah, and Kachhi were also reported to have experienced rainfall. Additionally, Kalat was pounded by a dust storm that made visibility difficult.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Balochistan, a thunderbolt in the Sorab district claimed the lives of two youngsters.
A 22-year-old guy, meanwhile, died in a lightning strike in Pishin.
