A review of the petitions in the Mubarak Sani case is being conducted by a three-member panel led by the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

The reports submitted by Punjab and the Federal Government in the Mubarak Sani Case have been considered by a three-judge Supreme Court bench chaired by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

On July 24, the Punjab Government filed a review appeal against the February 6 Supreme Court order, and on July 24, the Apex Court rendered a decision.

Despite being unusual, the present review petition asks for some of the order’s provisions to be removed.

On February 6, the Supreme Court rendered a decision in the Mubarak Sani case. After the Punjab government’s review petition was granted, the Supreme Court ruled that public order, morality, and the law all control the freedom to profess and practice one’s faith.

The second review requests additional revisions to paragraph 9 of the Supreme Court’s ruling.
