Abdul Aleem Khan promises to boost IPP in GB
Abdul Aleem Khan, President of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) has reiterated his intention to further fortify the party in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Abdul Aleem Khan presided over an important meeting of the IPP Central Executive Committee. He appreciated the efforts of the party leaders and workers who are conducting the election campaign in Gilgit-Baltistan and stated that the IPP has become a household name in the region.
IPP to fight LG polls with gusto
Abdul Aleem Khan said the party would make a full effort to contest the Gilgit-Baltistan local government elections scheduled for September. He claimed the party would be organised at the grassroots level.
He said tickets had been provided for 38 out of 45 constituencies in Azad Kashmir while active committees had been created for Azad Kashmir elections. He called on the party’s members to work “with full dedication”.
The IPP president said people who worked hard for the party will get more respect and prominence. He also directed to activate the abroad chapters of the party and make the party offices functional in the northern and southern Punjab, Gilgit and Azad Kashmir forthwith.
He stated that the party’s digital membership mechanism in Azad Jammu and Kashmir should be streamlined and membership cards should be provided to all members.
The council strongly condemned the recent terrorist acts in Balochistan and expressed sympathy with the security forces. Fateha was also presented for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs of Balochistan.
President IPP Abdul Aleem Khan said that he intended to make IPP a party of everyone and appealed to members to take responsibility and go forward.
Sardar Tanveer Ilyas, Awn Chaudhry, Mian Khalid Mahmood, Rana Nazir Ahmed Khan, Gul Asghar Khan Bhugor, Mahmood Haroon Gul, Shoaib Siddiqui, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Sarah Ahmed and Sameera Liaquat were present in the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Makhdoom Tariq Mahmood, Haroon Gul, Malik Zaman Naseeb and Wajid Gujjar.
