On Monday, President Asif Ali Zardari received a guard of honor upon taking office.

The Aiwan-e-Sadr hosted the event to give the newly elected president the guard of honor.

In order to serve as the guardian of the honor ceremony, Asif Zardari traveled by buggie to Aiwan-e-Sadr. President Zardari was given the guard of honor by a group of military troops.

Asifa, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, and Bilawal Bhutto also took part in the occasion.

Yesterday saw the inauguration of Asif Ali Zardari as Pakistan’s president. During the swearing-in ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Asif Ali Zardari was taken an oath by Pakistan’s Chief Justice, Qazi Faez Isa. Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the Sunni Ittehad Council’s adversary, received 111 votes.
