The early completion of the labor and manpower Memorandum of Understanding has been agreed upon by Pakistan and Oman.
In Muscat, at a meeting between Omani Labor Minister Dr. Mahad Bin Said Bin Ali Baawain and Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain, an agreement was reached to this effect.
Speaking at the event, Chaudhry Salik Hussain stated that Pakistan’s Technical Training Centers are being upgraded along contemporary lines to teach workers in accordance with the certification requirements of each nation or area.
In order to inform all workers on the labor laws, their rights and responsibilities as well as the cultural nuances of the host country, he stated that the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis will also be launching a mandatory pre-departure orientation program.
Furthermore, the Minister made the promise to send skilled workers in several fields from Pakistan.
Regarding the government of Oman’s commitment to expediting worker migration, Mahad Bin Said gave his own statement.
