Most Pakistani diplomats stationed in SCO member nations have reportedly been called back to Islamabad in anticipation of the impending Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, according to sources.
The purpose of the ambassadors’ summons was to help with conference organizing and coordination.
Pakistan’s prominence in the summit is further underscored by the fact that ambassadors from important member states, including as China, Russia, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan, have already arrived in Islamabad.
To further indicate Pakistan’s extensive diplomatic involvement prior to the event, the country’s head of mission in India is also in the nation’s capital for the high-level talks.
Critical regional concerns are anticipated to be covered at the summit, and Pakistan, along with other members, is expected to actively participate in defining the agenda.
