Ahsan Iqbal, the federal minister of planning and development, stated that we must concentrate on the next five years and that maintaining political stability and economic policies are essential for the country’s prosperity.

He stated that women’s participation in the national economy and youth empowerment are essential for the advancement of the nation during his speech at today’s 2nd National School of Public Policy Conference on Food Security in Lahore.

Food security, according to Ahsan Iqbal, is the nation’s largest problem.

He identified the overcrowding of the nation as the primary issue pertaining to food security.

He claimed Pakistan is experiencing a number of difficulties as a result of climate change.

The Minister stated that Pakistan is endowed with a wealth of resources and that it is imperative to make good and peaceful use of them. We must embrace contemporary technologies, according to Ahsan Iqbal.

In the upcoming months, he said, China will receive 1,000 agricultural scientists from Pakistan who will study contemporary agriculture methods there.

The Minister of Planning announced that the current government will soon release the five-year plan for 2024–2029.
