Speaking in support of the country’s reform plan, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has stated Pakistan’s strong desire to increase its railway capacity using contemporary technologies.
These statements were made by him at an Islamabad meeting with an Asian Development Bank delegation headed by Mr Chen, the group’s director for the transport sector.
The conversation centred on Pakistan’s transport industry, the difficulties it faces, and the ADB’s continued support for the industry going forward.
The Minister proposed that a number of important railway, transport, and maritime infrastructure projects that were approved in 2018 but had languished under the previous administration be given new life and reviewed.
