The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative has made Pakistan a magnet for international investment, according to Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal. Phase 2 of the CPEC would add five more corridors.
Speaking at a news conference in Islamabad, the federal minister stated that Pakistan has received an assurance from China to begin construction on five new corridors, and it is our responsibility to seize these possibilities by maintaining stability.

International credit agencies have increased Pakistan’s ranking, according to Ahsan Iqbal, who also indicated that the government’s cautious economic measures are producing favorable effects.

The speaker added that the government’s efforts have resulted in a one-digit inflation rate, and that the reduction of the policy rate will stimulate corporate activity.
