Amir Muqam denies claims that the PPP rigged the elections in Azad Kashmir.

Amir Muqam, President Engineer of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, has denied the Pakistan Peoples Party’s accusations of election manipulation, claiming that the PPP controls the prime minister, government, and entire administration in Azad Kashmir.

Amir Muqam said it was “ridiculous” for the PPP leadership and its ministers to accuse the PML-N of vote-rigging before the vote-counting process had even started.

He called the deadly event in Fatehpur Takyal “extremely tragic” and mentioned that a PML-N employee was also hurt in the violence on Saturday.

He recalled that local leader and prominent PML-N worker Malik Ashiq Hussain was murdered in a fire incident in Fatehpur Takyal during the election campaign.

The federal minister said it was unfortunate to make accusations before the vote count was finished and advised political parties to avoid doing so.

Amir Muqam claimed that throughout the election campaign, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, himself, and other party leaders had given voters an overview of the party’s past progress and future goals.

He went on to say that the PML-N had a solid and diligent team and chastised the PPP for making accusations prior to the counting process, even though he claimed to have access to all government resources in Azad Kashmir.
