At the UN, Pakistan denounces Houthi assaults as Saudi air defenses intercept drone close to Makkah.
Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar, stated that Pakistan fully endorses Saudi Arabia’s defensive actions in response to Houthi assaults.
Pakistani representative Asim Iftikhar, speaking at the United Nations Security Council session regarding Yemen, denounced the Houthi assaults on Saudi Arabia and voiced worry about the circumstances in Yemen.
He stated that Pakistan backs the sovereignty and security of Saudi Arabia, noting that assaults in Bab al-Mandab will impact the global economy.
Conversely, the Yemeni representative urged the global community to take measures to halt the flow of arms to the Houthis, labeling their hostile activities as a significant danger to regional stability.
