Pakistan and Australia have agreed on enhancing bilateral cooperation in diverse field including trade and investment.
The agreement was reached in a meeting between Federal Minister For Privatization And Investment Board And Communications Abdul Aleem Khan and Australian Ambassador Neil Hawkins in Islamabad.
Talking to the Australian envoy, Aleem Khan said there is ample scope for development of industries in Pakistan through Direct Foreign Investment.
He said that loss-making state entities will be privatized to make them profitable as the country’s economy is suffering due to such institutions.
He said privatisation is necessary for the improvement of the country’s economy, and Pia, House Building Finance Corporation, and First Women Bank are being privatised.
