Declaring that Washington “is a strong partner for Pakistan’s economic future,” US Ambassador Donald Blome stated as much on Monday.
The US Mission in Islamabad released a press statement stating that Ambassador Blome met with Pakistan Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in this location “for the purpose of discussing important aspects of the trade, investment, and economic relationship between the US and Pakistan.” The ambassador emphasized the continued backing of the United States for Pakistan’s economic reform program.
“Ambassador Blome noted that the United States is committed to working with Pakistan in technical and development initiatives, emphasizing that the United States remains Pakistan’s largest export market, a major source of high-quality investment, and a strong partner for its economic future,” the press release continued.
