Bushra Ansari shares her worries about Pakistan’s rising population

Veteran Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has expressed concern about Pakistan’s burgeoning population, emphasising the significance of family planning and prudent decision-making for the welfare of the future generations.

The senior actress spoke on a recent appearance on a private television broadcast where the talk went from light-hearted topics to more serious social matters. The issue of Pakistan’s population growth also came up in the discourse.

Bushra Ansari on the issue noted that she often speaks about and is very worried about the issue of population expansion. “That’s one of the things I pray for, relief from the population growth problems this country is facing,” she said.

The actress said that in the past, public awareness campaigns for family planning were more apparent, and slogans to encourage birth spacing were everywhere. She said such messaging doesn’t occur as often as it used to.

Bushra Ansari said that while sustenance is ultimately provided by Allah, human beings have also been blessed with wisdom and the ability to make responsible choices. She said resources are something important to think about while planning a family.

She also added that having children in an environment where there are no enough care and opportunity may be a challenge to both parents and children. “Talking about big families, many families already find it tough catering for their existing family members.

The actress appealed for more awareness of the issue and stressed the need of balancing family duties with the resources available to guarantee a better quality of life for future generations.
