On June 3 (Monday), Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan called a session of the Punjab Assembly.
According to the opposition’s request, the session has been called.
The session will begin on June 3 at 2:00 p.m., per the announcement made by the assembly secretariat.
Discussions in the house will include the state of law and order as well as other matters.
Amidst heavy criticism and protests from the media community, the government passed the contentious “The Punjab Defamation Bill 2024” at the most recent session.
Protests against the measure, which attempts to stop the province’s print, electronic, and social media channels from disseminating fake, fake, and falsified news, were led by the opposition and journalists.
