As they fight electricity theft to combat the electrical crisis and revive the economy, the government and law enforcement organisations are starting to see results.
Thus far, over 85,572 arrests have been made statewide, and almost PKR 119.5 billion have been recovered from electricity thieves.
Over PKR 1.48 billion was gathered by authorities from violators in cities including as Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Quetta between September 24 and October 2.
Twenty-four2 electrical thieves were caught during this time.
Until power theft is completely eliminated, agencies are determined to keep running their businesses.
