CDF Munir inspects defence production capacity on visit to POF in Wah
— Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Pakistan Ordinance Factory (POF) in Wah, the biggest defence industrial complex of Pakistan.
The tour included an assessment of POF’s production capabilities, export potential and contribution toward the country’s defence industrial base.
During the tour, COAS & CDF was given a detailed briefing on various elements of POF’s activities and its role in strengthening national defence through indigenous development and production of a wide array of military equipment.
He also watched the tests and trials of locally developed and made weaponry and ammunition, emphasising POF’s dedication to innovation, self-reliance and bolstering Pakistan’s defence industrial ability.
COAS & CDF were briefed on the progress of the corporatisation process after promulgation of the DIPRA Ordinance.
The Field Marshal was informed about the country’s indigenisation and upgradation measures through the installation of two new industrial units which are expected to start production by the end of the current year.
The tour highlighted the military’s dedication to promoting self-reliance, indigenous production and technological innovation in Pakistan’s defence sector.
