DPM Ishaq Dar meets foreign ministers from the R-4 Group in Cairo

On Saturday, Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister, met with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Turkey.

Ishaq Dar expressed gratitude to Dr. Badr Abdel, Egypt’s Foreign Minister, for welcoming him in Cairo on the banks of the Nile River.

He reported that he had a great evening with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. He conveyed his sincere appreciation for the companionship, friendly welcome, and insightful conversations.

Ishaq Dar, the deputy prime minister, travelled to Cairo, Egypt, for tomorrow’s (Sunday) Regional Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

Ambassador Aamir Shouket of Pakistan and Nazih El Naggary, Assistant Foreign Minister for Policy Planning, Research, Crisis Management, and Assessments, welcomed him to Egypt.

On the sidelines, Ishaq Dar will also meet bilaterally with his counterparts.

The Foreign Office reports that Dar will speak on behalf of Pakistan at the R-4 Group foreign ministers’ fourth meeting, where attendees are anticipated to share perspectives on issues of shared interest, regional security, and world events.
