Due to security concerns, Quetta train services have been suspended.
Railway authorities said train services between Quetta, Balochistan and the other provinces were suspended for one day for security reasons.
The Jaffar Express due to leave Quetta for Peshawar would not depart today, railway authorities said. In the meantime, the Jaffar Express from Peshawar to Quetta will be stopped at Jacobabad.
Railway sources said the decision to temporarily cease train operations was decided in consideration of current security situation. The authorities are watching the situation and are considering the problems of the passengers.
Officials stated rail services would return to normal when security situation improves.
Passengers were also asked to keep themselves updated with additional updates on restoration of services from the railway administration.
