ECP Calls Extra Meeting: High-Level Committee To Look Into Allegations Of Poll Rigging

Today’s meeting of the High Level Committee of the Pakistani Election Commission is intended to investigate the charges of election manipulation made by Rawalpindi Liaqat Ali Chatah, a former commissioner.

Within three days, the Committee would submit its report to the Election Commission, recording the comments made in this respect by the DROs of Rawalpindi and the pertinent ROs.

Following an online meeting, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and member of Election Commission Punjab Babar Hasan Bharwana convened a special meeting of the Election Commission, following which the High Level Committee was established.
