An expanded bench may be formed to hear the issue before the Islamabad High Court in opposition to the Election Amendment Act.
Hearing the case was Chief Justice Amir Farooq of the Islamabad High Court.
The court requested a response from the Law Ministry and the Pakistani Election Commission within ten days, and it also served notice to the Attorney General asking for assistance.
