JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said there should be a discussion on the formation of new provinces or units.

Addressing Khatm-e-Nabuwat (PBUH) conference here on Monday, JUI-F president Maulana Fazlur Rehman, “We are not against the creation of provinces. Decision should be made after evaluating the time and conditions. Political parties will have to play their role in this regard.”

“PPP only talks about Sindh, while the PML-N is silent on this issue. One nation could not be founded on the basis of the two-nation thesis.

“We could not build a nation on the basis of the two-nation theory. Riots were staged here on the basis of languages. We have based Pakistan on external debts,” the JUI-F emir said.

Colonial system has ended, yet international entities today govern our country’s affairs. We have been rendered dependent on loans from the World Bank and IMF. If they set our economic policy, this is a form of colonialism, he continued.

Country develops strong through peace and order, there is a division here. Muslim Ummah is becoming separated. We want to give a life of dignity to the destitute people of Pakistan.

The politics of elites and oppressive politics will not work. The politics of imposing power will not work. We have to stop any movements against the blasphemy law, the JUI-F said.
