Fazlur Rehman declares nationwide demonstrations in response to the assassination of Maulana Idrees.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), has declared nationwide rallies on May 8 following Friday prayers, calling for the apprehension of individuals accountable for the murder of former MPA Maulana Muhammad Idrees.

Fazlur Rehman went Charsadda to express condolences at Maulana Idrees’s residence and honoured the memory of the deceased religious guru.

In a media statement, he remarked that the murder of a Muslim due to differing opinions exemplifies ignorance, further asserting that Maulana Idrees’ demise constitutes a significant loss for the Muslim community. He asserted that justice would triumph and characterised the occurrence as a tragic illustration of violence against individuals pursuing peace.

He asserted that religious experts support the Constitution of Pakistan and emphasised that armed insurrection within the country is impermissible.

Fazlur Rehman implored authorities and institutions to execute their duties and apprehend the perpetrators, condemning them for their inability to provide justice.
