Five more children die in Punjab from pneumonia.

Sixty-three instances of pneumonia were recorded across Punjab and 168 in Lahore in the previous 24 hours, according to the Punjab Health Department.

But according to the health officials, no fatalities have been reported in Lahore in the last 24 hours.

Five additional children died earlier as a result of the pneumonia outbreak in Punjab, where 679 new cases were reported in the last day.

The provincial capital Lahore reported 156 new cases during that time, according to the Punjab Health Department.

A viral infection of the lungs is known as pneumonia. It might be minor or severe, and it can appear after the signs of the flu or cold. Pneumonia often affects youngsters five years of age or younger more frequently.

In order to stop the virus from spreading, Punjab’s health officials are focusing on raising public awareness and implementing preventative measures in response to the recent spike in cases.

Signs and symptoms of pneumonia may include:

  • Chest pain when you breathe or cough
  • Confusion or changes in mental awareness (in adults age 65 and older)
  • Cough, which may produce phlegm
  • Fatigue
  • Fever, sweating and shaking chills
  • Lower than normal body temperature (in adults older than age 65 and people with weak immune systems)
  • Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
  • Shortness of breath
