Following a weather delay, voting in AJK assembly constituencies LA-27 and LA-28 has begun.
54 polling places in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly’s LA-27 and LA-28 constituencies opened for voting on Tuesday.
Voting began in the morning and will run continuously until 5 p.m., according to the Election Commission.
Due to unfavorable weather, the two constituencies’ August 2 polling date was postponed.
The most recent poll comes after the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) won 23 seats and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) won nine.
According to the Election Commission, the Poonch Division will host the third phase of the AJK elections on August 10.
