Following the AJK polls, CM Maryam advises Bilawal to concentrate on performance rather than accusations.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said the claims would not serve any purpose and asked Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to improve the narrative and performance of his party after Azad Jammu and Kashmir municipal elections.

She congratulated PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and party workers on the party’s success in Mirpur Division and praised Allah for what she termed a strong vote of confidence by the public in the party.

Maryam said the credit for the success went to the guidance provided by the leadership and the tireless efforts of the party workers and they deserved full credit for the electoral outcome.

She stated the PPP had used improper language during the election campaign and claimed poor attendance was noticed in its public rallies.

The chief minister told Bilawal Bhutto to improve his political narrative and performance rather than attacking others.

She said the PPP had been in power in Sindh for the last 17 years but it had failed to show any big development project to the people.

“People vote on performance and the PML-N’s electoral success is a reflection of public confidence in its governance,” Maryam stated.

She said the people of Azad Kashmir needed relief from damaged roads and the lack of healthcare facilities and were looking for development projects and public services like those introduced in Punjab.

The chief minister said the age of artificial intelligence needed evidence and performance and not claims, adding people had already assessed political parties on their record.

She further alleged that Bilawal had targeted senior political leaders during his campaign even though he had no substantial record of governance to show before the people.

“The public voted for projects like the Kisan Card, improved road infrastructure and developmental projects, Maryam said. She further said that PPP was in power in Azad Kashmir for last one year and was still blaming the federal government.

She noted that claims of vote fraud were regularly raised when parties lacked performance, adding that recordings allegedly showing PPP candidates implicated in irregularities had circulated on social media. She also said all political parties should respect the people mandate and accept the outcome of the elections in the spirit of democracy.
