The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) made two lineup changes when they announced their playing eleven for the third Test match against Pakistan on Tuesday.
England decided to include leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed in their playing XI for the series finale after suffering a humiliating 152-run loss to Pakistan in the second Test on a spin-friendly field in Multan.
The ground in Rawalpindi, where the last Test is set to take place from October 24 to 28, is anticipated to help spin bowlers.
Rehan will participate in his first Test match since his February match against India. He will play with Jack Leach and Shoaib Bashir, two more spinners who participated in the first two games of the series.
After missing the second Test, speed bowler Gus Atkinson will also make a comeback to the team for the third one. In the resounding first Test victory for England, he claimed four wickets.
The conclusion of the three-match series will not feature Matthew Potts, who played the second Test, or Brydon Carse, who made his debut in the first Test.
Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jamie Smith (week), Gus Atkinson, Rehan Ahmed, Jack Leach, and Shoaib Bashir are the players for England.
