General Aamer Raza takes over as head of the National Strategic Command.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Monday that General Syed Aamer Raza, HI (M), Sitara-e-Basalat (S Bt), received a Guard of Honour upon taking over as Commander of the National Strategic Command.
The newly appointed commander offered Fateha to honor the fallen and placed a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, according to the military’s media wing.
Later, at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, General Aamer Raza paid a visit to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces.
The ISPR also stated that Field Marshal Munir thanked the general officer on taking over as commander of the National Strategic Command during the meeting.
