Describing the Parliament as a mere formality, Hamdullah stated that the JUI-F will not remain silent and will initiate a campaign to safeguard the constitution of Pakistan.

He responded to a query by stating that it is premature to make any remarks regarding the alliance with the other opposition parties. The JUI-F leader said that JUI-F will arrange a ‘People’s Assembly’ in Muzzaffargarh on June 1st.

During the discussions with the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, the JUI-F leader stated that the party’s delegation had visited Maulana Fazlur Rehman three times. Terms of reference (TORs) are required to proceed with the PTI, he further stated.

Hafiz Hamdullah asserted that the JUI-F is not involved in the legal proceedings against Imran Khan, the founder of PTI. He also stated that his party will abide by the judgements of the courts.

After the 2024 general election, the PTI and JUI-F reached a consensus on the issue of ‘rigging’ in the election results.

The conference between the JUI-F and the PTI-led opposition did not result in any significant progress or breakthrough.

A PTI delegation, headed by the party’s secretary general Omar Ayub Khan, met with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad on Wednesday.

Maulana Fazalur Rehman, in a press conference in Islamabad, emphasised the importance of enhancing connections and resolving conflicts to address the current situation.

Despite the lack of a significant breakthrough, all sides agreed to maintain their connection for future strategic purposes.
