The corpses of eight miners were retrieved from a coal mine located in Harnai, a district within the Balochistan province.

Upon getting the information of the event, a group of eight miners entered the mine in order to seek assistance, only to find themselves trapped as well.
The Chief Mines Inspector reported that eight miners were successfully rescued from the mine, while efforts are currently underway to save the other victims.
Two crews are currently engaged in a rescue operation at a depth of 1000 feet.
Meanwhile, the chief minister, Sarfraz Bugti, became aware of the tragedy and instructed the officials to accelerate the operation.
