Ijaz Noor Chauhan, the Punjab Election Commissioner, made OSD

An OSD notification has been sent out by the Election Commissioner. Ejaz Anwar Chauhan is an officer in grade twenty.

Punjab Sain Baksh, Joint Provincial Election Commissioner, will assume the role of Provincial Election Commissioner.

On Thursday, January, Ijaz Anwar Chohan assumed his duties as the Punjab Provincial Election Commissioner.

Chohan was greeted by Punjab Joint Provincial Election Commissioner Sain Bakhsh Channar upon his arrival. Chohan led an orientation session for the staff members working at the Punjab Provincial Election Commissioner’s office.

The status of the arrangements for the general elections scheduled for 2024 was thoroughly briefed by Director of Elections Abdul Hameed.

In his speech to the officers, Chohan urged them to carry out their duties with diligence, honesty, and integrity. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining close communication with the field officers in order to ensure that all electoral process preparations are carried out successfully.

Additionally, he stated that it will not be accepted for free, fair, and transparent elections to be conducted carelessly. The police need to function as a cohesive unit to handle this enormous national duty.
