Elahi appeared in the court of Justice Shehram Sarwar, where he is charged for committing purportedly unlawful recuritments in the Punjab Assembly.

In this case, Parvez Elahi was given bail in exchange for a Rs100,000 surety bond.

Elahi is one of numerous PTI workers and officials who have been detained as part of the PTI leadership crackdown that followed the nation’s deadly riots, which began on May 9 with the first arrest of the former prime minister.

Since June 1, Parvez Elahi, the subject of an unlawful recruiting case, has been detained on various occasions; the most recent arrest was made on September 18 by the Punjab ACE.

A representative for ACE said that Elahi illegally hired 12 people for grade 17 seats in the Punjab Assembly.

By falsifying the records, the candidates were chosen for the provincial legislature.
