Pakistan was defeated by six runs after chasing a total of 120 runs, managing to score 113 runs after losing seven wickets.

Following Skipper Babar Azam’s dismissal for 13 off 10 balls, Muhammad Rizwan continued to be the Men in Green’s top run scorer with 31 off 44 runs.

Taking three wickets in four overs while allowing only 14 runs, Jasprit Bumrah was the Indian bowler of choice and was named Player of the Match.

Previous to this, in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 thriller, Babar Azam won the toss and chose to bat first, and Pakistan’s quick bowlers wrecked havoc, sweeping out archrivals India for a meager 119.

In 19 overs, India was bowled out for 119 runs as pace bowlers continued to strike and the Indian batsmen were unable to hold the ball longer at the crease.

When Naseem Shah removed him from the game in the second over of the inning, after hitting four runs off of three balls, Virat Kohli became the first batsman to fall to the Pakistan bowling lineup.

When Rohit Sharma attempted to hit Shaheen Afridi for a maximum in the very next over, he fell to him. The captain of India completed 13 of 12 deliveries.
