According to Ishaq Dar, there is no validity to the rumours circulating concerning Tessori’s dismissal.

Saying, the new governor of the province, Bashir Memon, is not going to be installed.

The governor of Sindh will be decided upon in the coming days, he added.

Prior to this, the PML-N’s main centrist ally, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), threatened to leave the ruling coalition should the PML-N break its “promises” from the power-sharing plan.

Spokesman for the ruling PML-N, Farooq Sattar, warned the media that removing Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori from his position will have dire implications.

When the government breaks its pledge to keep Tessori as the governor of Sindh, Sattar threatened to reevaluate the MQM-P’s cooperation with it.

The leader of MQM also voiced disappointment, calling it a betrayal of trust, at the government’s intention to “replace” Tessori.

This progress coincides with long-running rumours regarding Tessori’s dismissal.

Discussions concerning a possible governor switch for Sindh have been ongoing, according to sources close to the development between the PML-N and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
