It has been instructed by the Prime Minister that all resources be mobilized for the relief of those affected by the rainfall in the affected areas.
The Prime Minister Mr. Shehbaz Sharif, on Tuesday, asked the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to utilize all possible resources to help the people living in rain-hit areas along with establishing effective contacts with the concerned provincial departments and Provincial Disaster Management Authorities (PDMAs).
While addressing the NDMA chairman Lt. Gen. Inam Haider Malik, who had paid him a visit, the Prime Minister directed the concerned departments to enhance coordination so that traffic may move easily on link roads and bridges and relief materials may be distributed timely during rains.
During the meeting, the NDMA chairman informed the Prime Minister about the expected trends of monsoon season along with preparations to cope with heavy rains and floods, which require cooperation among the provinces and institutions.
It was said that as per the Prime Minister’s instructions, certain departments have taken preemptive actions to better cope with the monsoon season.
