IT Park in Islamabad to increase exports to $25 billion: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the relevant authorities to guarantee the punctual completion of all IT sector projects.

He presided over a meeting in Islamabad about the evaluation of information technology projects and the execution of strategies to enhance IT exports.

The Prime Minister expressed contentment with the implementation of the park project in Islamabad, stating that this initiative will greatly enhance domestic exports.

According to him, this will serve as a significant achievement in attaining the objective of exporting IT worth twenty-five billion dollars.

It was communicated during the meeting that the IT Park Project is progressing rapidly, and the Korean company involved in the project has shortened its completion timeframe from June to February of next year.

provideThe group also received a briefing on the Digital Smart Cities Project implemented in Islamabad. The project aims to give convenient access to 150 services for inhabitants through the Islamabad City Super Application.

This initiative aims to provide individuals with access to services provided by the capital development authority, Islamabad Police, Health, and Education Departments through a mobile application.

The gathering was informed that the Federal Government’s services will be accessible nationwide through a mobile application in the latter phases.
