While the city gets ready for possible rain today, Karachi residents are advised to remain vigilant. The Metropolitan Department says that thunderstorms will be brought to the city by monsoon winds, and that Monday night will mark the start of light rain.

The temperature in the city is currently 32 degrees Celsius, partly cloudy, hot, and humid. Later in the day, it is predicted that the maximum temperature will rise to 37°C. There is a lot of humidity—70%—and 15 km/h winds coming from the west to the east.

The next day or two are expected to bring more of this hot and muggy weather.

Due to the city’s drainage system not being properly cleaned, fears about urban flooding are developing. Concerns about possible flooding if the anticipated heavy rains materialize are due to the delays in cleaning the drains.

As things progress, locals are asked to take the appropriate safety measures and keep track of any updated weather advisories.

As for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast and south Punjab, Potohar, a spokesman for the weather office stated that some areas are expected to have rain today (Monday). In several areas of Sindh, northeast, and south Balochistan, rain and thunder are predicted, according to the weather office.

In and around Islamabad, the weather is expected to stay hot and muggy, according to the Met Department.

The evening hours may bring rain, wind gusts, and thundershowers. In many parts of Islamabad, heavy rain is predicted, according to the weather office.
